Showered...

On Saturday I had an amazing baby shower thrown by Carrie and Natalie. After meeting these girls at WSU and being such great friends with them over the years, it is crazy that our lives are now at this point...babies. I couldn't be happier to have such a wonderful group of friends and family that were able to make it to celebrate the arrival of Baby Jackson. I'll have to say he is SO spoiled already, I don't even know where to put things away at yet. Justin's mom and dad did get us our last piece of nursery furniture the dresser we wanted, so this will help me. This will be my new project as I begin nesting and preparing for his true arrival, even though a woman at Starbuck's snickered at me and asked me how being pregnant in the heat was and told me not to expect him to come early, hers was 15 days late. Please no.

Today Shelby and I met up with Carrie, Natalie, and Dana at the US Open of Surfing in HB. It was the craziest, hottest, and best tournament as far as waves go since 1991. We scored some passes and watched the awards for surfing and some BMX riding. I'll have to say this was a fabulous weekend. I'm just sad it's over, I always wish I could keep my friends and family at my house all the time. 

Thanks again for all the women that were able to come, those girls who wished they were there, and especially to Natalie and Carrie for putting this shower together, it was gorgeous.
