Huntington Beach's 100th 4th of July Celebration...4th Largest in the Nation
I thought I'd cram in an update about a few things at once:
-I retired from waitressing last Tuesday. It was a great shift, I walked with over $300 (figures). At the end of my shift Justin surprised me with gorgeous flowers and my manager friend Houser (David) had the cooks make me a special cake with tricky candles. I miss the cash already but am loving the rest my body gets, I think it really needs it now as it's getting more and more uncomfortable to get a good nights sleep (I know I'm preparing for no sleep, but it still is no fun).

-The 4th was great, super mellow. I watched Dave's son Christian ("hung-out" he's 15). We watched the 100th Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade, walked the boardwalk and people watched and laid by the pool at the Hilton where Dave stayed last weekend. At night we met Justin and watched the awesome centennial fireworks from Savannah's patio.
-As for the pumpkin patch. It has now reached the pavement and is taller and longer. We finally researched the Big Mac pumpkin and it says it needs 2500 square feet to grow. HA HA! That's the whole back yard! So...we NEED to prune it, but it's kind of fun and freaky to see how much it will grow. I swear one of the pumpkins was tiny last week and now it's like the biggest one at the store on Halloween and it's July!
-Today we finally took the money we'd been saving and got a camera that will be great for baby. Justin did the research but it is a Canon Rebel T1-I. It does all the HD video stuff and the guy we bought it from is local and offered to help us with camera tips and renting lenses whenever we need it. Both of us are feeling a bit drained and are coughing so hopefully the Holmes' feel better before our trek up to Fresno for my cousin Ashley's wedding on Friday and our 1 year anniversary on Sunday. Till then....
I love the latest pics, can't believe how big the patch has gotten! If I don't speak to you before, have a very Happy Anniversary-I can't believe how fast it's gone!! Lots of love xxx
