So....
Things were looking really good last Monday at my doctor appointment. I was 3 cm and 70% effaced and baby was very low. I lost the plug on Wednesday, which made my mom jump in the car from Scottsdale and head over right away since when she lost hers I came out hours later. This was not the case as you all know. My dad flew in at 11 a.m. on Friday.
We've been keeping busy walking around dog beach, going to Mexican food, drinking raspberry herbal pregger tea, eating chili, drinking 1/2 glasses of wine, doing squats.... It has been great having both of my parents here. I don't know that I've ever seen them together in the same place for more than a few hours before. My mom and I snuck out and got our makeup done at the Benefit counter and it was amazing to get spoiled a bit.
My dad has to be down here now on his anniversary tomorrow since Jackson is so stubborn. So congrats to my dad and Charlotte on their 19 year anniversary. Thank you Charlotte for understanding.
My doctor appointment today was, well, the exact same. I have an appointment on Wednesday at 7 a.m. (room at the hospital pending) to get induced which takes 12-24 hours. So keep your fingers crossed MAYBE things happen naturally before that or it's closer to 12 hours than 24. :)
Next post...baby Jackson...I promise.
**Random....today I went in to my dentist who quickly referred me to an oral surgeon because I had a growth on the roof of my mouth that had grown in the last few weeks. My OBGYN when I asked 3 weeks ago just said it was probably a swollen vein and I could make an apt. with my dentist if it bothered me. So the thing kept growing a bit. Today when I finally made an apt. to see my dentist and he said it was a very unusual abscess and quickly farmed me out to an oral surgeon because he knew it had to come out quick and get a biopsy done. Scary. The oral surgeon took one look and told me what it was...a pregnancy tumor. Random huh? He said what probably happened was a sharp chip or a small cut on the roof of my mouth had overcompensated in healing and had grown. He said it would continue to grow if I didn't cut it out. I already was talking kinda funny so I went for it. So...they did local anesthesia and cut it out. He asked me if I wanted to name it (Ha Ha Gross) and then they sent it off to the lab for biopsy. Of course it'll be like $500 but it's out of my mouth before baby and it's a simple fix. I was so scared when my dentist didn't know what it was, but I'm so thankful Justin was along for the whole ordeal. Now...I am ready for baby. :)
Oh Tara, I've been so anxious to hear some news. Bummer the tea didn't work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he will come tonight or tomorrow... and by the way you look awesome
