Daddy in Cali!

Last weekend my dad came to visit me and Justin. He came in on Thursday night and we took him to Beachwood BBQ and ate fried pickles and ribs. Friday he came with me to school and he had a great time with the kids. I had them draw pictures of him and they called him "Grandpa Gary" and laughed when I said he was bald. It was a lot of fun! On Friday night Justin's parents came over for appetizers and then we went back to Eva's Carribean Kitchen for more yummy food together. It may be one of my pregnancy cravings. Saturday we spent the whole day scouring baby stores and picked out a crib, changing table, rocker with ottoman chair, and Bobby swing. Not to mention a changing pad, cover, mattress, and a sipper cup with "Jackson" on it. I think we've decided on the name Jackson...I even bought the wood letters to spell it so it's official right?? I took my dad for his first trip to Inn and Out Burger which was fabulous and at night we did sushi at Sushi on Fire on Main Street in HB. Sunday we went to Walt's Warf for salmon tacos in Seal Beach, drove to Newport and took the car/passenger TINY ferry to Balboa Island and had a frozen banana and then bbq'd Sunday night. I took him back to the Long Beach airport Monday morning early. It was such a fun visit, I got to show off my favorite restaurants, and I think he's really getting excited about becoming a grandpa!!! I miss my Daddy already.
