It's really in there!!!!!

So we just got back from our first ultrasound. I am officially 10 weeks and 6 days (so I was only off by 2 days of what I thought). I called Justin on my way to the appointment at 3:30 and he said, "I thought it was at 4:00, I'm on my way." Of course I was irritated and said, "You've known about this forever, it's 3:30." Needless to say when I pulled up there was Justin waiting for me. I love him! He said he's been so excited for today for a long time.

Our ultrasound lady was very nice. I almost peed my pants from all the water they told me to drink. She said I have a "teacher bladder" and that I had "won the award for the fullest bladder." We saw a few pictures right away and then I got to go to the bathroom, was much more comfortable, and they did the other wand that goes inside. Justin was amused when she was putting KY and a condom on the wand when I was in the bathroom. :)

This view was amazing! You could actually see the baby even though it's so small! It was totally flipping around since it has all this room right now. The woman showed us 2 legs, 2 arms, 2 eye sockets, hands with very small (1/4 of a centimeter) fingers, and the spine. It finally made me very excited, very relieved, and astonished that this is actually happening inside me. And, thank god the heart was beating 160 bpm! Oh baby! Now go ahead, you can tell a few more people, I won't deny it anymore.

  12. YAY!!! Another one joins the mommy-to-be club!! I am so excited for you and Justin! Wasn't the ultrasound the coolest experience? There's nothing like seeing your baby move around inside you! I remember being SO tired at 10 weeks too - the good news is that it gets better in the 2nd trimester. Just wait till your boobs hurt so bad you can't hug people! I love you and can't wait to share this experience with you and all that's to come!
