Two weeks ago I was driving out to Rancho Mirage/Palm Desert to see my bestie Jen, Mark, and Calum. We stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa, which I got on Hotwire (always scares me but I have had fabulous luck) for only $88 + tax! It by luck was the same place the Verghese Family had rented a villa at for the week and it was gorgeous, think water slides, courtesy shuttles around the resort, golf course, and SUN!

After we settled we then made our way over to the pool to meet up with the Verghese Family. I first saw Jen rocking at tankini in the 1 ft. wading pool with Calum. She looks SO stinking cute with those twinies in her belly! I cannot believe she is having twins and from how gorgeous and cool Calum is, you know it's going to be double amazing for the twinies.

Mark and Justin were able to talk NBA and soccer, while Jen and I gabbed like we never missed a beat. I miss her so much, but I dream of visiting her in London sooner than later. I keep trying to coax them slowly to move to California. I think Mark was sold on the sun in Palm Springs.

Jackson and Calum could seriously be the best friends a boy could ask for. They are very similar right now. They like trucks, juice, snacks, books, splashing, going crazy, and trying to evacuate restaurants before their parents can finish eating. Calum now has a Zu Zu pet back in London just like his friend Jackson, so we'll try to keep it away from his baby hair.

It was really cute to watch the boys bounce on Jen's bed in their matching DG anchor George Banta (the only male DG initiate for those of you who don't know) pajamas. They'd watch and imitate each other, laugh, and we only had one head dive off the side (sorry Jackson). Calum is reading so many words in his books and has a little English accent which is beyond adorable.

I loved catching up with Jen and Mark and I can't wait till we start planning our annual Spring Break week in Palm Springs. It was amazing there and truly relaxing. Who's joining us? We should take over the Villas with all our little monsters running around.

The Holmes' Home loves the Verghese Family! Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone.

  1. Ahhhh I dream about Palm Springs on a daily basis. What a fun trip for you guys! Seriously, I don't think your boys could be any cuter together. Calum looks like he belongs in SoCal just like his buddy.
