Whoooo's Been Showered?

Whoooooo's been showered? Ruppy
My Perry Panther family
My bestie Ruppy who I miss so much this year. I feel honored to have hosted her baby shower.

Jackson was not at the shower...but enjoyed the cupcakes afterwards
Brooke's baby blanket from here
Some of my favorite baby books for Brooke
I made 2 felt owls to decorate the bookshelf from this website
We played 2 quick games to the tune of Justin Beiber's "Baby" as a timer...the winners each got a set of owl coasters I made from this website. It was so easy, cheap, and could totally be done for fun occasions where coasters are necessary.

My friend (and Ruppy's former room mom) Michelle made the owl cupcake pull apart cake! WOW! I am not a baker but this is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! She told me she found the idea in family circle
Totally copied the stir stick idea from here. I started watching the video and I totally waitressed for years with Jessie who hosts the DIY video.
Water bottle labels from Etsy

This was my idea (the rest I harvested from the internet)...I have had Ruppy send me a picture in a different setting so we could see her baby bump grow. The week by week pictures lined the fence on painted stir sticks with wooden clothes pins I bedazzled
Card and group gifts...had all the teachers pool in so we could get Christy her FLIP video, diaper bag, mobile......... I got a stamp with an owl and Brooke's name underneath to make the group gifts easy to identify from here on Etsy
Board books I collected (hoarded) for Christy ever since she told me she was pregnant

I mod-podged the vase...collected the sticks at the park with Jackson...made the yarn pom poms...glued on the felt eyes/beak/feet/googley eyes...tied them up with fishing line...and decorated the sticks with ribbon....too much? I think I knew I was going crazy at this point. I got this idea from this website.

Etsy Invites
Can't take credit for this...Jen from Perry painted this amazing poster

I admittedly went a bit owl crazy planning Ruppy's friends of school baby shower. I googled, I blog stalked, I made multiple trips to Jo Anne's fabrics, and I spent a few nights late night crafty and hoarding in my "craft closet" (Justin calls our storage closet now). It was in a way therapeutic, enjoyable, and I loved how it all came together with a little help from my friends. Whooooooo's been showered? Christy has! Bring on Baby Brooke June 13th!

  3. Love, love, love it! Will you be able to re-use any of the decorations? They would be great in a nursery. Honestly, Tara-I think you would be great at party planning-perfect summer job as Jackson gets older, maybe specialise in kids parties (upscale, obv) since you have such a huge network? I think everyone wants their party to turn out like this but isn't nearly as crafty as you are to actually make it happen. That said, it takes a lot of love to do something like this-Christy, me and all of your other friends are so lucky to have you x
