1 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!

To my boo-boo-skins (where did that name come from)...

I honestly can't comprehend how you are turning one this morning. ONE. Can I not talk about "my baby" anymore? Are you a big boy all of the sudden? You will forever be my baby. I know moms always say that but now I know how it feels. I just want to hold onto you and rock you and snuggle you and carry you (even though 30 lbs. is getting harder) forever. I love watching your new blonde hair start to come in, you gaining your self confidence to walk, your courage as you crawl into the waves at the beach (hello swimming lessons), your expanding vocabulary, and the way you snuggle up to my chest and reach for me when you need a little loving. As we rode down the beach path on the bike today and I got to have you on your baby seat watching you gaze out to the ocean and kids playing on the sand I envisioned how quickly you would be riding your own bike, and then after that you wouldn't want to ride with me anymore because you'd have your own friends, and that made me a little sad because I want you to always be my baby. I am blessed to have you in my life, I love you more than I knew I could ever love, and I wish you a VERY HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY. Party its your brfday!
