Schools Out for Summer

At Dana's OC Weekly Event in Downtown HB
Go Lakers! Game 7 Victory vs. Boston
At the hotel getting excited for game time!
Bride to Be Heather

So we've been out for almost 6 days and it has been great. I get to wake up every morning (when I want to...for the most part) and snuggle Jackson, cook baby food, clean and do laundry, go to the gym with Justin, go for runs on the beach with Jackson and have absolutely no stress.

Lately we've been on a few adventures: last day of school my fam and I went to LA for the Game 7. LA Live was crazy and it was a bit too crazy so we ventured a block away with Dave, Justin's sister Chelsea, her BF Nabil, and Justin and Jackson to a wine bar where we were early enough to get a great spot and two tables directly under the TV. During the intense game Jackson shook his head No at a Celtics fan, we had happy hour all game, and then after once the outside window of the bar was hundreds deep looking in we celebrated and made a bee line (far away from any riots) to our hotel by the Staples Center. What a great win for our family and the Lakers.

Last Saturday I went to Vegas for my friend Heather's (from Fred's restaurant I worked at for 5 years) Bachelorette Party. I got to be at Tao beach and danced (thought I'd be the fattest but there were lots of big girls in thongs flaunting their cellulite so I didn't feel that big...ha ha) then we went to Thunder From Down Under and watched the horny women and cheezy guys shake their things. Such a funny sight to see. Then after...get this..we went back to the room and I was in bed (probably from exhaustion and too much champagne) by about midnight. Crraaaazzzy.

Today we were going to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, but we put a deposit on my friend Christy's great apartment. We have had a great house for not much over a year, but you and I know that although roommates are great, we need it to be just us. It is a cute 2 bedroom less than a mile to the beach downtown HB, has a cute swing outside in the yard and it will be just us 3. I'll miss the backyard and the space but we got a deal on rent and it's a 3 minute drive to work for me and a 2 minute drive to work for Justin. Beach cruisers to the beach here we come. We are set to move August 1st. Wish us luck on how quickly and effortlessly (yeah right) the move will happen after Jen's visit.

So bring on the home-cooked meals, actually seeing my husband since he works at night, and to our new pad!
