Busy Bee

We've been super busy here at the Holmes' household lately. Annie Brady came to visit and stay with me a few weekends ago and last weekend we hosted a going away party for our friends Jill and Alan.

When Annie was here we took fun pictures of Jackson in the bath, drank lots of wine, went to lunch in Laguna Beach with Carrie, Dana, Meagan, and Dett and made tacos at home. Crazy how as we get older we like to hang out at home and make dinner and have wine instead of going out to the bar. :) It was great to be with the girls and always amazes me that so many of my favorite Coug Girls are within driving distance to me in Cali. Annie is getting to be such a great photographer too and she captured some great Jackson moments.

Jill and Alan decided to move to Texas so we hosted a "Texas or Bust" going away party. It was a huge success. I made appetizers for the first time such as Ruppy's shrimp dip, guacamole, and sausage stuffed jalapenos I got from Jackie Reiss' blog a long time ago. The jalepenos were amazing! We had a great time and I have never hosted a true blue party at my house and I'm glad to know I can be a great hostess. Clean up the next day was even kinda fun as we came up on booze and now have a large supply for the next get together. Too bad Justin and I kinda quit drinking. Bad timing.

My friend Jen had a baby this week and I got to go visit baby Peyton in the hospital. I just love how newborns are so precious. Kinda gave me flashbacks to 6 months ago when Jackson was born.

Carrie's baby shower is this Sunday and I have been busy getting things in line for that too. She is such a cute preggers and she only have 5 weeks to go. Baby Jake is expected April 9th.

Tomorrow I get to see Brie and Coffey in Claremont too. Busy bee over here!! I made the doctor give me a z pack for my cold because I don't have time to be sick. Ha ha!
