Justin (Daddy Day Care) is WAY more brave than I am while watching Jackson. Last week he undertook taking Abby to the dog beach, with Jackson, and breaking out the new collapsable red wagon we got from Justin's parents this Christmas and he took pictures and washed the dog all before I got home from work! Nicely done!
On Sunday Jackson and I went down to PCH and watched the racers
finish the HB 1/2 Marathon that is every Super Bowl Sunday. To be completely honest...I haven't ran since I finished the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon last January. It's always one of those, "Next Monday I'll start..." but then snuggling Jackson and sleeping take priority. Plus it's COLD...42 degrees this morning. However, while watching the runners finish and feeling how much tighter my pants are with a nice muffin top blossoming out the top...I registered for the Disneyland 1/2 Marathon Sept. 5th. We get to run through t
he park and get a Mickey medal too! I also talked my mom, Justin, and my Aunt Lisa into running too (Lisa gets it as a birthday present...ha ha). Tried to talk Shelby into it, but she is going to cheer us on! I'm not as ambitious as Megan Blythe with a full, but at least something will motivate me to being active again.

P.S. Today Justin delivered flowers to my school that my Pre-K kids came up and grabbed for me. He says he's taking me away April 1st and April 2nd...but not to ask him where. Oooohhh...now I'm looking forward to the big 3-0 a bit more.
What a lucky girl you are to have two awesome men in your life! Daddy Day Care made me lol. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's time for more pictures of Jackson. Let me know when and where and my camera and I will be there!
So cute, what a fun (and ambitious) father/son outing! And congrats to you for gearing up to run a half, that's awesome! Flowers and a weekend getaway for your bday? Lucky girl! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to hear where he is taking you!! What a romantic...Galen is NOT romantic so I love to hear when other people get spoiled and surprised:)
ReplyDeleteLove that Justin took Jackson to the beach, what an awesome wagon, I want one! Do you think they have one in my size??
PS...you DO NOT have a muffin top, I'm sure of it!
That top picture of Jackson is too cute! What a special bond J & J already have, how sweet it will be to see it grow. And flowers 2 whole months before your b-day-WOW. Love you!
ReplyDeleteOh and I TOTALLY agree with Meghan-where do you think this muffin top is? In your DREAMS maybe ;)!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you signed up for a half - Disneyland would be a blast to run through without all of the crazy crowds. Flowers + a weekend surprise getaway is so fun! You have a wonderful husband.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for signing up for the run! I'd like to think I'll do one this year, but who am I fooling...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about your romantic getaway : )
